'Maison Martin Margiela 20 - The Exhibition' will explore the themes that have underpinned the ethos of the fashion house since its creation, capturing the Maison’s unique aesthetic and vision and celebrating the career of fashion's most interesting designers. The exhibition will display various iconic pieces from the collections, including garments specially recreated for this show.

 Conceived in close collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela and curated by the Fashion Museum Province of Antwerp, this captivating exhibition has now made its London debut at Somerset House and is not to be missed. New York label Sretsis is the creation of designer Pim Sukhahuta, a Parsons graduate who opened her first boutiques while still there, and her two sisters Kly and Martina. The SS10 collection is all about romance - a kind of modern romance that is inspired by the illustrations of Japanese Shojo Manga artist Macoto Takahashi. Look out for butterflies and fragile flower prints and intricate folded details within the fabric of the pieces, that all help to convey a beautiful dreamlike feel to the collection. Sweet, casual and wearable, Sretsis is for urban girls who like to dream a little and it’ll be available online and in-store at Diverse very soon. 

 

One of New York’s (if not the world’s) hottest labels Opening Ceremony will be gracing the tables at Diverse pretty soon. The brand’s footwear is always at the top of cool girl’s wish lists and this spring is no exception. Boots for summer – sounds a bit weird right? But if you’ve been reading the fashion glossies over the last couple of months you’ll know that they’re bang on trend – and they work thanks to open toes and cut-out sections - they add a tough accent to a pretty summer tea dress. OC’s examples are the edgiest version we’ve seen and come in leopard pattern or with stud-trimmed wooden clog soles, or our favourite - with oversized bows running down the front in vivid magenta suede. Look out for Folk’s SS10 collection coming soon. Casual men’s items with those inimitable Folk details (to the uninitiated that means lovely buttons, really good quality fabrics and clever or humorous little touches) are just what the doctor ordered as a remedy for a slightly tired male wardrobe – remember, the summer months are approaching fast! If you’re anything like us, you’ll already be planning and booking your holiday, so think ahead wardrobe-wise and kit yourself out with some nice cotton shirting, a good pair of shorts or trousers and a cool piece of summer knitwear. Check out the Folk video for a taste of what’s coming your way this season, and it’ll all make it online, so you’ll be spoiled for choice.
